Radish Sandwich, Version 2

When I read the recipe for a radish sandwich, it reminded me of the open face version that we love. These are a wonderful combination of textures and flavors.

1 slice of the thin (1/4″) dense German rye bread that often comes in small packages of square slices (Wegman’s)
Sweet butter
Radishes, thinly sliced
Salt, freshly ground pepper
Minced dill and/or chives

Spread butter on bread, pave with thinly sliced radishes, sprinkle with salt, pepper, dill and/or chives.
