Baked Leeks

26 Nov
2 leeks
white wine
cheese
oil (olive) or butter
salt

Trim the tops and roots off of 2 leeks. Cut them in half lengthwise and cross wise and then run them under water to clean out any dirt. Lay them in a baking dish one layer thick. Put some butter or oil around and on top of them. Pour some white wine over them.  Put as much cheese as you’d like on top – Swiss is good. Sprinkle with salt.

Bake at 350 until them are good and crispy. You may need to turn them once. I serve them spread on bread, or as a side dish.
